Family Law Arbitration Appeal Dismissed; Court of Appeals Opinion Ordered Not Published

Journal Categories

In Campbell v. Campbell, the Kentucky Supreme Court granted the parties' joint motion to dismiss the appeal, ordered the Court of Appeals opinion not to be published, and denied the motion of the Kentucky Chapter of Matrimonial Lawyers to file an amicus brief. Our prior posts are here. (Disclaimer: I wrote (with the help of our amicus committee) the amicus brief supporting the availability of family law arbitration in Kentucky.)

Be on the lookout for another case, perhaps one where spouses provided for arbitration in their settlment agreement for post-decree disputes or agreed to arbitration in a pre-nuptial agreement. Holler and pro bono help from our Chapter will follow.
